Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide English classes and job skills training in order to build a community where each individual and family has the resources to improve their quality of life.

Join our Spring Classes that meet on Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Free Library of Philadelphia - Greater Olney Branch

Classes are free and every language level is welcome. Come to class and improve your English skills.

What We Do

English Classes and Translation Help

A 12-week class to help participants learn useful English skills for daily life—like small talk, banking, and using apps, with topics that fit real situations they face.

Job Training and Certifications

Courses to help participants qualify for jobs, like resume writing and interviewing skills, GED prep, computer skills, food safety, first aid/cpr, and child care training.

Personalized Case Management

1-on-1 support with tasks like job applications and accessing community resources for housing, childcare, healthcare, food, and transportation.

Good Dialogue - Friendly Instructors - Real-Life Topics

Course Details:

Join our free, 12-week English course to practice reading, writing, and speaking. We provide all materials, and you can choose to attend in person or online. Expect some light homework and quizzes. Come learn English with everyone at the Language Lighthouse!
